Monster Hunt and Leaderboard Information

The following notes have been generally consistent from season to season. Season specific information may be posted in the respective discussion thread.

* Check you can spawn monsters!
* Pink Skunkupines don't drop tokens when you defeat them. They might spawn from pink and wedding alicorns.
* There are a range of horses and similar that will spawn the purple glimmer golem. Refer to link below for more information.
* Trolls may be included but they change from being included season to season.
* Monsters also drop their normal items in addition to the tokens.
* Do the Bronze Hunter Trade if you are nearly maxed on Shield tokens so that they don't go to waste.
* A Level 5 Jousting Arena will spawn a monster on every collection. Link to Jousting Arena Renovations thread.
* The Mythic Research Center (from L22) crafts are available to craft anytime if you have the tokens.
* If it's your first Monster Hunt, the new trades might appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon.
* Remember to collect from Princess Lorelei's fountain for a chance at gold tokens (about a 1 in 3 drop rate)

* BLUE DIRE BOARS will only spawn once a day.

I love the artwork for this event! I'm going to go all out on this new account. Will see if I have time to work on the older account later.

I just became eligible for horses (yay!!), and I need to buy some to attract Glimmer Golems. I really wish the horses in this game weren't so ugly (sorry to the creators). I know there are some pretty ones out there, but the only ones available to me are the standard Horse, the White Horse for 100 gems, the Black Horse for 150 gems, and the Royal Horse for 200 gems. I'm willing to spend some gems to get a good horse with some good drops. Is it worth getting the Royal Horse, or is the Black Horse good enough? I already bought a couple regular Horses with coins, but kind of want something a bit fancier. Maybe the Lucky Steed will be on sale next week for St. Patrick's Day. I *really* want one of those black ones that also drops longswords. Those were invaluable to me in getting a good start on my old account.

EDIT: I mean the Lucky Clydesdale, and he is, indeed, on sale today. Yay!

I just became eligible for horses (yay!!), and I need to buy some to attract Glimmer Golems. I really wish the horses in this game weren't so ugly (sorry to the creators). I know there are some pretty ones out there, but the only ones available to me are the standard Horse, the White Horse for 100 gems, the Black Horse for 150 gems, and the Royal Horse for 200 gems. I'm willing to spend some gems to get a good horse with some good drops. Is it worth getting the Royal Horse, or is the Black Horse good enough? I already bought a couple regular Horses with coins, but kind of want something a bit fancier. Maybe the Lucky Steed will be on sale next week for St. Patrick's Day. I *really* want one of those black ones that also drops longswords. Those were invaluable to me in getting a good start on my old account.

Go for the standard horse when you are low level.

The more attractive equines are the Steeds and Clydesdales vs the Horses because they keep their mouths shut. Not a fan of those horsey teeth! Alcina is also attractive; part of Maya the Mystic event if you?re eligible.

Thank you to ShibuyaCloth and GiselleX16! I've seen Alcina - she is pretty! Not sure when I will be able to get her. Maybe I will just wait until the next sale starts to see if there are any cool horses. If there aren't, I can stock up on the regular ones for now. It's not like I have any stored energy to fight tons of Golems with, anyway.

This Anubis that we have to fight is just so cool!
