As for the goal itself: There is a very REAL problem in ALL s8 games right now and I, for one, am beyond sick of it!

The following message contains constructive criticism only, so feel free to skip it if you're not in the mood nor a member of team s8 for whom this is intended...

In this specific case, yet again we're hit with the unnecessary extra appliance which we've already explained several times is unwarranted and how it brings nothing to the playing experience.

The recipe requirements are borderline impossible for lower level/newer players; which, again, has been pointed out repeatedly and we've explained how newer players will not stay in a game if they feel they can only progress through gem purchases. Why the team acts as though they don't need their customer base confuses me and I'd think they'd be focusing more on trying to maintain all, but especially newer players?

And the "prize" is a joke. Yes, it's a super cute item but it's not anywhere close to being rare or valuable enough to justify the requirements and coins needed to 'win' it.

We get 24 new boxes - per year - so there is zero reason to continue to reuse the same ancient boxes again, again, and again as a source for the 'prizes' and sales. Not only is it an 8 year old item but it's a low level item that's been offered for individual purchase or as a prize dozens of times at this point.

I realize I'm the most vocal about these things and as such I'm easy to ignore, but I assure you, I am NOT the only player feeling this way. I have to edit my neighbor list every 6 months now to keep up with the amount of neighbor turnover due to players outright quitting the game. In the past, I performed this task about once per year and only cleared a dozen or so out of 100 neighbors but now I'm clearing out 60%+ of my neighbors every 6 months - it's honestly concerning.

I was forced out of RS years back, haven't been able to access my DS in YEARS due to a known bug that's affected HUNDREDS of us, quit CS this past year due to insane event requirements (despite having a fully overmaxed, collector's account!) and am honestly only continuing with BS for the community at this point when before, my favorite part of the day was playing BS.

Here's an exercise to illustrate my point team: open any CS, DS, RS or BS thread from the past year and give it a scroll. If the thread that holds more than 10 posts, it'll mostly be filled with unhappy and despondent players struggling to complete these games. Seriously, what is happening? For pity's sake, will someone please wake up and take hold of the wheel at this company before we all go crashing over the edge here?

I agree with everything Annira said above! The sad thing is, I really think that player satisfaction is not important at all to whoever is making the decisions at Storm 8. I think their goal is to get players to spend as much money as possible on the game. The problem is that the quality of the recipes and prizes is very low most of the time. Over and over again players have asked for quality over quantity. I think the prize this time is adorable, but the goal requirements to get it aren't worth it. I haven't made a profit on the game in years! Goal after goal, I end up with virtually the same number of coins.

At this point I come to the forum to vent, but don't expect anyone to actually listen. Throw us a bone Storm8!

I agree with the above. Short term profits are the only thing that is important to the owners. They are taking everything else for granted.

As always, I agree with all the points Annira made above. The only beneficial thing about the prize for me is that I have no desire to finish the goal to get it. I feel like I might be on my way out. I am losing interest in the game. My neighbor activity is shrinking which makes goals harder and honestly I get it. I cannot blame them for not checking their game as much or at all because the side goals are overly challenging for not much reward and the main goals are often mid at best.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT-spot on. I’ve been playing since 2011 and remember when it only took like 10 material parts to complete building. Now it’s like 40/40 total of 80 for one appliance. Which is ridiculous for even the seasoned players. I quit for five years and can’t back last year to such a money grabbing, ridiculous requirement ����
