I did better with this goal than I have in the past by changing how I play according to how long the goal is:

If the challenge is five days, I build twice as many appliances than the fifteen day challenge so I can finish on time. I HATE missing a goal prize, so I got creative and doubled my efforts.

Try and collect enough goal parts to build the same day the goal begins simply because they tend to be progressively harder each tier, so I ask for ALL the goal parts and accept items as I build, so I keep open slots for parts I'm missing. If u accept all gifts before checking what's needed, u have to wait till requests come in, or if ur gmax, the next reset to finish ur appliances.
