The White Elephant - 2017 Dec 20 (POLL ADDED)

Hi. Sadly, what made the White Elephant event so frustrating was having to make several items at the bakery/ deep fryer and receive nothing in return. After days of playing and only being able to make a few gifts, I gave up and sold many of my products. The randomness of the beignets/ cookies/ candy canes was disappointing/ annoying This event required a lot of playing time which I couldn't afford while juggling my own holiday preparations. Nonetheless, what can I do with so many left over items that are taking up space in my barn? Will we be able to somehow use the coloured sweaters, unopened gifts or treats? Or should I just discard them?

Put them up for sale in your Side Shop. Eventually one of the Storm8 bots will come through and buy everything. I was able to sell 10 Green Ugly Sweaters for 1,880 coins, and 10 Red ones for 1,890. Since I had 50+ of each, that helped replenish my coin supply, which took a hit when I had to expand (160,000 coins plus all the expansion papers) to make space for all the event items.

I loved this event. Admittedly, getting the elephant helps. But I like these luck ones when things are attainable. The turkey event was impossible for a normal player, this one wasn't. The prizes were kind of lame, like the peanut boiler. But overall, good event.

I played extensively the entire time, met all goals, redeemed ~30 gifts and did NOT win a white elephant. This does not make it fun to play.

Agreed, and I already had enough peppermint paths after previous game so go really fed up getting them. If I’d have known the main goal was un achievable I may not have bothered. I usually love this game.

Gave 50 gifts to the trees and NO we did not get the elephant. Hard work and no Christmas feeling bur maybe that was not meant to be.
