Hello. I'm not a shark party developer, just someone who enjoys playing bingo. I recently bought a new ipad, and even though I backed up my old ipad then installed my backup to the new ipad, Shark Party Bingo didn't update along with it and I had to start from level 1! However I was able to get this resolved and hopefully this will help others who have similar issues.
Firstly, if this happens to you, recognize that it isn't because of an Apple glitch. It's because each shark party /storm 8 game has a unique ID and it's one ID per device. That's why it forces you to start from the beginning. In order to get back your old account, this is what you do.
1. Go to Account 'Settings' on the bottom left on your old device. Write down your Support ID#. Then click on Help/FAQ. Create a Storm8 ID and password ("How to Access the Forum"). Note down how many coins, gems, friends you have, and what level you're on.
2. Install Shark Party Bingo on your new device. You will receive a new Support ID#. Do not create a new Storm8 ID/password (if you do though, note it down).
3. Contact the support@teamlava.com and provide them with all the information from 1 and 2. I'm not sure if this step is necessary. It's what I did, so that they were able to transfer my old account to my new one. If you skip this step and it doesn't work, then go back to this step and wait for a response before re-attempting step 4 onwards.
4. Support will tell you to "log in" to your old account on your new device and provide you with a link (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?59955) with instructions. The problem is, Bingo doesn't have a login feature!
5. Download a game that does. This link (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?59955) has a list. I used Candy Mania.
6. Open Candy Mania. Click on the Storm 8 icon on the top right, then log into your old account using your Storm8 ID and password you created in Step 1.
7. Shut down and restart your device (ipad)
8. Open Bingo. Your old account should be there!
