I do not like that I cannot receive gifts once "full". What does "full" mean anyways? I should be able to receive gifts from all my neighbors since I've taken the time to become neighbors with them. Also, food gifts should be listed before parts.

Do you mean when neighbors write full on your wall? That means all your tables have coins on them. It has nothing to do with gifts

which is the original door, before they go anywhere else. How can I get them to go to their destination without going to the first door first?

The Golden Knob is a part used in the Moon Festival Fountain, while the Fryer Hose is a part used in the Texas Fryer. Unfortunately, the two appliances mentioned above were both goal appliances, so if you hadn't unlocked them at the time of their goal set, you won't be able to build them now :( However, it's always a possibility that future appliances may require these goal parts.

It's a cash register you need in bakery story. I think the host stand is in restaurant story. Once you have it near your second door all the customers that come through that door will go to the nearest register.

they are zip-packed because the forum doesnt allow to attach excel files, only zip.
you can download them, unpack - and use! :)
sort, filter, check as you wish - most parameters are there. basing on them, you can create your own calculations for strategy with any parameters you need.

I have those too but I get 2 options. Watch video to speed up my cooking time or earn 1 gem for every video I will watch. I always choose the latter and I get to have 10 gems every day for watching 10 videos.

it was never locked. i got it by downloading respective android version couple of years ago (check versions list (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?98579)).
it is not available via official google "play store" mobile application, but it is still available via official play.google.com in browser (don't forget to log in to your google account when in browser).
i wasn't not playing that version since long-long time, but i still have soccer cake pops in menu of my basic oven (=white oven / = easy oven / etc...), and still can bake them - see proofpics under spoiler. so i'm not really catching wht is "unlocked" and "keep missing", sorry :) cd you pls clarify? :)

i have all the limited things in my latest version, no matter when did i used respective version of the game...
(except "orchard fest" & "sugar'n'spice" - i had to re-download them recently to get an access to limited conted).

maybe devs can help you with it? did you try to ask support team about it?

What order did you download the versions in? If you downloaded Tokyo Sweets after you installed the version you are playing with, it may not show up at all in your recipe book, or cause an error when you try to cook.

In general, I think the version you last downloaded (not the most recent release, but the one you last downloaded) is the version that would have all the stuff, from all the previous downloads. Can you check if this is the case?

i did as they were available, but some of them I just didnt want to dsownload, but soccer world & tokyo I did
I think its something about the order indeed, I remember that I unistalled dragon & reinstalled tokyo update and this happened.

You just need to create a password to get your game back. Just go to main/help/FAQ. Then click on create password here. Then all you need to do to restore your game is to open bakery story, then click on the icon in the top right hand corner, then account settings and then log into another account. Just input your storm8 ID and password and you'll be back into your bakery.

It sounds long winded and a bit daunting to start with but it is really easy. I go between my 2 accounts umpteen times per day. Good luck.

Your Storm8 account is saved on the Storm8 servers. You can however delete the apps on your device if you're no longer playing. Your account would be there should you decide to play again. Hope this helps.

Hello there! The Hard at Work display was part of a Value Pack last year (I think - it could have been 2015; I'm not sure) that was offered to iOS players only. Players would receive it only if they purchased the Value Pack. To my knowledge, it has never been offered on the market on its own :(

Unfortunately goal recipes and any appliances and or decorations associated with time sensitive goals cant be unlocked unless they are re-released for special sales or holidays. The only goals I know of that arent time sensitive are the bread oven goals and the Sweet Co goals

Do Not Put Counters Away with food in them. The food is gone forever! You can't change them until they are empty unless you don't care if you lose food. You can hide them behind other decorations if you are changing things up but that is all.

I'm assuming you're talking about the 2x1 floor decoration pictured in this preview (next to the counter with coffee on top):

Unfortunately, this was a goal prize from a set of goals a few years back, and will not be unlocked unless the developers of Bakery Story decide to bring it back :(

That being said, there are some boxes with coffee-themed prizes you can try for if you're interested. The most notable of these is the Coffee Crate (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?98404-Bakery-Story-Master-Box-List&p=1412678&viewfull=1#post1412678), but the Bakery Essentials 2 Crate also has a really nice prize called 'Coffee Dispensers' that could satisfy what you're looking for. I'll try to find a picture :)

So I recently got back into played after around 2.5 years and I noticed that I receive a lot of gifts, leading to the maxing of my gifts. I have some loose parts in my gifts inventory, so my first question is do these gifts contribute to the max gifts? Also, if I deny a gift, does that gift count towards my gift max?

When you Request gifts, and they are sent to you, do THESE gifts count towards the max gifts?

Is there a limit on daily requests?

I'm struggling to complete Tropic Oven because people send me food instead of parts I need, and even though I deny them, I still eventually max out on gifts.

Last question, irrelevant: every now and then I get weird bugs where I log off with a lot of food prepared, I come back 5 minutes later and I have 9,000 coins and no dishes, almost as if the time just sped up extremely fast. Every now and then I also expirience a glitch where the server relapses; for example I leveled up, the server froze for a little, and I was back at the previous level. Do any of these glitches sound familiar, or is this something with my phone? My phone has had time issues before so this could very easily be a result of these issues.

Welcome to the forums! :) I'd recommend checking out the Game Guide (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?98332-Bakery-Story-WIP-thread&p=1413130&viewfull=1#post1413130) for most of these questions; gifting is explained in detail there, and there are other sections that you might find useful as a returning player as well.

For your last question: The bug may possibly be caused if you're blocking the door - doing this to 'close' your shop is not supported by the game and may result in a quick-sell. Or, it's possible your customers are eating rather quickly, and the foods you are preparing are low-profit.

The server relapse is a more serious issue, and you may need to reach out to support for further help with that. You can submit a request by following the link in my signature (note that it's through the forums now, not via email).

Hi :)

The Gelato Machine was part of a previous goal prize from 2015 I think and it will remain locked. The only way you can attain it now is if Storm8 decides to re-release it as a LTO, which will more than likely never happen and in the rare instance that it does, it will likely cost gems. All the locked items that you see in your design tab are items that you've missed. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do but vote for their re-release on the appropriate thread and hope that Storm8 listens.

P.s I also missed this goal, since I lost my phone right after December 2014 so I feel your pain :( I didn't recover my account till October of last year. Now I have to see all the cute stuff I missed! Anyway, sorry this is off topic.

I built the Alice oven recently and cannot unlock the other recipes. Why wouldn't the oven say "goal ONLY oven?!?". I wasted my money and requests from neighbors to build an oven i can't use!

Just go to social with your neighbour list. You should see an edit button at the top. Click on thatand each neighbour will now have a remove button next to it. Click on the one next to the neighbour you want to remove and then make sure to click on done at the top. Dead easy :)

If you have multiple counters with 300k+ food, then of course it's going to take time to deplete that supply even if you have a T-layout. You should keep that layout if you want to sell faster as it is one of the efficient layouts.

If you want to make more coins within a shorter period of time, then you should be cooking Red Velvet Cake. But there are other recipes that have a higher yield than RVC. It just depends on what your definition of maximum earnings is -- if it's more dependent on total earning or making quick money, etc.

Hello! I moved your thread to a more appropriate forum :)

A lot of appliances, especially those toward the latter half of the market, are ones that were part of previous goal sets. It's possible you may not have noticed them before depending on how long you've been playing the game.

Additionally, new appliances are added with goal sets every month, so it's also entirely possible you may have encountered the newest duo that are part of this month's goals :)

Welcome to the forums! :) Donations aren't a feature in Bakery Story, but you can add each other as neighbors and help each other out by tipping each others' restaurants, and gifting each other parts and food.

This was a recipe introduced back in December 2012 (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?42111) as a part of holiday goals. Your neighbor probably unlocked the recipe at the time and is able to cook it now.

Download Christmas edition and it will appear but since Android 7.0 was released - every time you put the Christmas recipe on your stoves, it will crash when you put two or three dishes on your stoves.

Your restaurants and bakeries are linked to your device. Once you log into your bakery you can’t start a new one. You can switch between bakeries by loggin in and out of your Storm8 ids but to start a new one you’d need a new device or one that has never had BS installed and played on it

Yes, this is most likely the case. Players can receive up to 20 gifts a day. Your neighbors would have to decline gifts to be able to receive and accept yours.

No real way to notify visitors that you're on hiatus, just post on your own wall that you're not playing for a month but you'll be back, and then put "READ BELOW - DO NOT POST - READ BELOW - DO NOT POST" above it. Visitors don't always listen, but at least that gives you a fighting chance. And you can always tell your best neighbors on their walls what's up, so they hopefully don't drop you.

I'm sorry but I thought the person was talking about food ending .. so blocking the door would avoid it.

Some way to close bakery would be interesting then, sometimes we take a small break, vacation, other problems and we have food on counters but we don't want to get back playing without any food to serve. ;)

I downloaded Bakery Story for the 100th time the other day, and im trying to quickly level up and make coins. But ive noticed something that ive never noticed before, which is:

I'm mainly curious about the coins. What i take it to mean is that for this recipie, the total amount of coins i get for cooking 1 is 1200 coins, but im just not sure if im correct. Does anyone know what that amount means?

But if you click on an appliance, in the recipe book that comes up, the coin number at the top is how much it costs to cook that recipe each time. The number of coins you earn from serving that recipe every time and the letting the bots eat all of it is at the bottom right, underneath the number of star experience points you earn.

I began playing Bakery Story just about a year ago, Naturally, I only had a few friends since I was just starting...and along with all the limits...meant it took days to build just one oven and left me short on goal time and destined to not finish in time. This plus my lack of not yet knowing & understanding how things worked, left me in the dark ...especially about the consequences of not finishing goals thus robbing me of any options/recourse. Needless to say when I didnt complete the goal...of course didnt receive the reward....but I was also left with locked recipes!! The only way I NOW know to unlock them is to finish the goal....which since its expired means Im stuck ....on multi levels! Of course finding this out AFTER the goal expired is like closing the barn door after the cows already got out! In fact I have an oven with 2 of the 3 recipes locked....holiday recipes no less...making it even worse as I cant use these 2 holiday dishes Lastly I think its unfair there were no warnings given nor recourse offered nor told of any consequences which should be given to all players!! I accept personal responsibility but didnt find anything in the info provided...beyond that contacting customer service wouldnt help...as how can you ask a question or seek info about things you dont know even exist? Regardless of who, what, or why, a remedy/options should be offered...ie: watch an ad, buy more time during a goal, or pay to unlock... as examples!! Another is to give players an option to replay missed, earlier, or failed goals ....which would also be a great way for players to have a (2nd) chance to win some of the great rewards missed out on Another unrelated suggestion: what about the ability to store some finished dishes...so you can save for later or make room for something else...could be set up like a players gift storage or stored with its recipe? Food for thought. Lastly, IMO though they are free?...Storm8 games can be very costly to play ...at least to play at their fullest potential so customer care and satisfaction should be a priority! Ty

I agree, it would be nice if you have ovens labeled as "prior goal oven" or some type of pop-up warning when you try to purchase the oven, "warning, this oven was part of a prior goal and all recipes may not be available. Do you still want to purchase?". It's really frustrating when you purchase an oven and request all these parts, only to find out there is only one recipe and the rest are locked.

Another suggestion would be to have the option to unlock recipes with gems.

It may not necessarily be a waste...depending on how you look at it. If you buy the oven and there is one unlocked recipe then you have the ability to cook that one recipe and earn two gems from it. Recently the Coffin drink appliance was “rereleased” and all the recipes with it. Those players who had previously built coffin drink appliances were able to make all the recipes plus new ones and also complete the goal efficiently. So they were happy to have built ovens and not have to worry at that time about having to request parts to build.

So build the ovens, cook what you can, get your gems & try not to worry about it too much ;)

And actually there are longer hour recipes you will run across.

2. News wall has a limited number of people that visit your place.
Such as if 100 people visited, about half or less will show up in News.
I don't know actual number of visitors that appear in news.
The definite are the ones who post on your wall.
However if you keep an eye on your news board you will see a consistency of who
visits and actually grants your requests.

3. Posting a time zone on your wall is a good idea.
It will certainly inform your neighbors when you will be playing etc.
Personally never thought of it..lol

4. Tip: In your REAL LIFE if you take vacation, going to school, sick etc..
It in my personal opinion is nice if you let your neighbors know what's going on

The other day I used 49 gems, (honestly, I didn want to), however, I moved ahead and did it and used 49 gems to unlock the appliances section, I had reached the maximum amount to add more ovens on the floor. If I had recognized it was only going to give me one window slot I would of Not made that choice using my 49 gems!? :confused: I have been utilizing my personal money to buy gems for the winter stuff, Im so hurt and upset, not angry but I am disappointed. :(

1. Yup, cupcakes sliding into a pool of frosting. It's a permanent goal that everyone gets as they learn to play the game, so you can take your time to complete it, PookiesSweetStuff. The 22-hour cupcakes are the last step, so you're almost done.

2. News feed shows only the last 10 people who tipped you (and 10 neighbors who responded to your request, but that one's not totally reliable). So if 11 people tipped you since you last checked, you won't know from News who that 11th person was. Hence, leaving messages, like Lady Ena said.

3. You can always ask your neighbors what time zone they're in! But then you have to put that together with whether that person is a night owl or early bird, if they work 9-5 or on some other schedule or don't work at all, all sorts of factors that affect what time they're likely to be playing. Time zone isn't everything.

wow! holy macaroon. That?s a heap of gems for one slot? That?s the most expensive item in bakery store. If I had known that, I wouldn?t of not made that move, I?m sad, I truly had wished that it Indicated that before I used my gems  Even for sadder since it?s a struggle to get gems through playing the game. Mostly recently because I knew Christmas stuff would be coming out and that the good stuff is brought through gems (I?m not the only that notice that I?ve read on some other post). Okay, I thought I knew how the whole profit thing worked, but apparently I don't. So can someone explain to me how the heck I figure out what the best food to cook is? Originally I thought it was like the profit per serving making Angel Food Cake the best (up to level 22), but then I thought maybe it's the income per minute but that makes brownies the best and I've seen everywhere that Red Velvet Cake is the best.

Okay, I thought I knew how the whole profit thing worked, but apparently I don't. So can someone explain to me how the heck I figure out what the best food to cook is? Originally I thought it was like the profit per serving making Angel Food Cake the best (up to level 22), but then I thought maybe it's the income per minute but that makes brownies the best and I've seen everywhere that Red Velvet Cake is the best.

I was going by the cookbook too, I put it in an excel document so I could sort it better. Though, from that, I got these results which don't seem to match yours.

if we talk about recipes taking 2hrs or less, angel food cake is one of the best choices, but still not the best one.
here, i took out removed appliances and goal appliances, only left accesible for anyone today.
blue bun oven seems the best for 2hr recipe in terms of profit/srv. even couple of basic appliances recipes go on top of angel food cake.
but of course if we talk about level 22, then yes. better than AFC for 2hrs are only ice cream machine (from level 4) and treat dispenser (from level 10):

Yeah... I was originally doing 1 hour recipes because they seemed most profitable, but I thought maybe 2 hour would be better. I'm literally on the game 24/7. why not? you can always check cookbook (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?98403-BAKERY-STORY-CookBook) to see mastery profit from each oven. then you sd deduct the cost of ovens you'd like to build, and you'll see if you're still in profit.
usually i'm building 4 ovens of a kind, and with blue bun ovens i'm still in "plus".
moreover, i already mastered those recipes, but when we have goals with cooking time like in this oven, i'm always taking them out. just to add a bit more profitable food to my counters (unfortunately, goals recipes are not like this).

Jasmine Tea is the best. It only takes an hour to cook. You'll need plenty money as it takes quite a while to sell it all.

The only benefit of being on a higher level is the amount of ovens you can have. Level 99 is nothing special. Enjoy the game.

Would it be better to cook say Jasmine Tea (1 hour for $1,180 profit/srv) than say Boyish Pops (2 hours for $2,230 profit/srv)? Because technically with Boyish Pops you're getting only $1,115 profit/srv per hour, right?

I read somewhere that there's a 20 gift limit per day. In my opinion, this seems quite unfair as I can't stop people from sending me gifts that I don't want. Unless there is a way?

Item #1 - I don't know this one, sorry :(

Item #2 - Candy Cane Table and from what I found on a website, it costed 6 gems back in 2014.

Item #3 - Time Table, it just got re-released sometime early this year for about 20k coins? (back in 2012 - also from website) The price tag didn't show up in my market tab so I can't tell you for sure.

Item #4 - Chocolate Box Table. This one was released during Valentine's day and it costed 8 gems (price taken from 2012). Definitely didn't buy this one.

It means it was part of a time sensitive goal that can not be unlocked ever unless Storm8 decides to re-release it. The SweetCo table however is part of a goal you’ll unlock once you get to a certain level

I have just come back to this game after quite a while off. I have been building ovens that I didn?t have before and I?m finding that most of the recipes are locked because they need a goal to do this. Is there any way of unlocking these recipes, as the goals have disappeared?

In general, locked-by-goal content will stay locked, because one will have needed to have been around for the goal to unlock that content.

Recently, however, we've been getting 5-Day goals (examples: October (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?101051-I-Vant-To-1-to-4), November (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?101611-Changing-Colors-Goal-Nov-3-2017)) which have given players a chance to unlock past appliances and prizes. If these continue, and extend to the ovens which you built, then it's possible that you might be able to unlock those recipes :)

A gem dispenser is basically an appliance exclusive to iOS players as far as we know that dispenses 1 gem every 12 hours.

Once again, the cookbook answers this question. The item you can cook that will give you the most money is the red velvet cake & it takes 22 hours to bake but you get the most money per serving. Most items are 4 coins per serving & I think brownies are 1. But the cookbook also tells you how many experience points you get for making certain items (although I think you have to click on the 'spoiler' and it shows the menu you see). My question.. I love the cookbook with all the information it gives.

Is there something similar that lists all the goals you should go through from level 1 to 99...

I have some new players & I want to gift them pays they will need because I know at some point it's the french battle and they will have to make the brick oven. Basically, there are standard goals everyone has to go through. Is there a list of the goals? Is it complete where it lays out what happens what parts you need & what they recieve once they accomplish the goal & what level each goal should pop-up.

I know people can skip goals. I just thought something like this would help.
