A Scottish theme, Robert Burns day is Jan.25 he is the poet that did ' Auld Lang Syne' the new years eve song :-) . Have some tartens on the tables, kilts, a piper, food is Haggis, mashed neeps and tatties(turnips and potatoes) and a wee bit of Scotch whisky :-) shortbread cookies. NO MORE KIDDIE STUFF RIGHT NOW PLEASE!

Log cabin, outhouse, mountains, house with big porch and smoke from chimney, bots in bib overalls, dog with big floppy ears, these would complement the fishing and s'mores campfire items we already have.

I would really love to see a Spanish theme update with a tapas stove which could have croquettes, empanadas, patatas Bravas, calamari, jam?n, Spanish omelette, prawn paella etc and a dessert oven which would include churros and creme Catalan. For decorations we could have people sitting around enjoying tapas and sangria, antipasto/charcuterie board tables and pretty Spanish-type tiles and wallpaper with ivy.

I'd also love to have an Australian/New Zealand type of theme this year. While I know most theme updates have catered to those in the northern hemisphere and around their seasons maybe there could be a Southern Hemisphere theme with barbecues or grills that cook shrimp, steak, kangaroo, lamb burgers and maybe some pavlova, lamingtons and neenish tarts for dessert?

I'm not too sure what to expect from the next update in January but for February's update if it's a valentine theme then I'd like to see maybe a bouquet/flower stall or stand, rose pillars, a wine bar, love letter box, apothecary jars of candy hearts, heart bunting etc

Lots of holidays in February this year! For Chinese/Lunar New Year (8 Feb 2016):



-A sale on the Take Out Box, or an LTO of the Koi Pond would be fantastic



-A Monkey King (Sun Wukong) floor decoration

-A floor display of kids getting red envelopes or tangerines

-A Plum Blossom Tree with red envelopes hanging from it, like this:



-Lucky Golden Pigs!



-Happy New Year Scrolls for wall decorations



-Table Settings like this (maybe on a Chinese New Year Table Display)



-For recipes, why not a drink fountain that makes teas? We could have Black Tea, Oolong Tea, White Tea, Chrysanthemum Tea, and, because it's the Year of the Monkey this year, Golden Monkey Tea!





-A round divider like this one:

Mardi Gras (9 Feb 2016) falls right after Chinese/Lunar New Year this year, but there's no reason we can't celebrate both!

Suggestions:

-A return of the New Orleans Bundle from last year, or better yet, an LTO of the Jazz Band!! Please please please please!!



-A Jester, like the one below (or maybe a Jester Phoebe!):



-A Parade Display, with lots of people (different skin tones, please) celebrating and throwing confetti in the air



-For recipes, we could get a New Orleans Stove with recipes like Crawfish Etouffee, Red Beans and Rice, Muffulettas, Alligator Steak, Po'Boys and Bananas Foster for dessert (pictures below in order of dishes listed)













-And a statement Mardi Gras Cake Display to top it off
