I used my booster 3X before still can't get gold nuggets after I just tried again I need 3 of them . I'm tired of S8 asking for nuggets...they are impossible to get!

I tried using the booster too, but no gold nuggets dropped from the mines. It's a useless waste of silver runes, which are also as impossible to get as the gold runes. I don't know why S8 is so stingy with the drops. It seems their strategy is to entice us with events, make us drool over the new decorations, make us frustrated because of the rarity of drops, then force us to play with gems out of frustration with the event. I used to take the bait. But now, after using up too many gold nuggets and gold eggs recently, I'm tired! Not to mention spending 120,000 coins for 10 pigs!

^It's not just you, I'm really tired of the same repeated quests and animals and like you, just doing the quests as my goalbook is empty. I'm not excited about them at all but happy that players who weren't around before have a chance of getting the pink animals.

I agree. I don't really have anything else to do, but I'm not doing this one. I have stored the wedding hall. On the plus side, I have more time to spend on real life things or other games!

I agree with those who want a return to the main story line. I am so tired of endless chopping, mining or whatever to end up with stuff I don't need.

Dear S8. Please stop asking for things like gold nuggets on TIMED events. It makes these events extremely difficult, if not impossible, for lower level players. I'm not quite on that step yet, but pretty much threw in the towel when I heard we needed 5 gold nuggets for this one. Just before this quest began, I finally collected the 10th nugget I needed to make a gold bar for a story line quest (and I remember thinking many times I was very glad that quest wasn't timed). So now I have zero. And I highly doubt I will manage to get five more before this quest expires. Gems are not an option for me. And I'm rather bummed that I started this quest before discovering this roadblock. Now I have yet another timed quest structure that I will be unable to complete. It will go in my inventory along with about four or five others (I have lost count). *sigh*

It's the growing trees just to chop them down that I don't like. I'm trying to figure out ways to best use the extra wood. On the plus side beasts are being spawned and I can refill my inventory of creep teeth that I gave away to the elves. As long as I can find ways to supply other needed inventory items, I guess I'll keep going. But my visits to Ivy were ill timed, so I'm behind already. On the negative side, I still have not replenished golden eggs that I had to give away last time. Oh well, I guess that's what they are there for. Basically taking it one step at a time.

Just a head's up that the animals don't start dropping wedding invites until you have finished How the Gold Got Away and get to Yuppy Love goal. I wasted a lot of energy collecting from animals and was getting no invites even though 40 were required to upgrade the building.

oh, I don't worry about .. pigs are used in goal six .. till then I have time to save up money and I rather plant carrots or fellora plants they give more money for the energy intake then strawberry and then selling items wich I like to rebuy .. but thanks for the tips .. the only thing is, that I also have so many other goals which needed money .. and they now have to wait longer

You're not in a bad position if you can afford to buy the Fellora Plants.. lol! Thought the situation was worst. However, the Fellora Plants don't even double your returns.. choose maybe Carrots or Cabbages which triple what you invested, which need less energy as you prefer.

Oh Katt.. so happy to see you back. Thought for while you were occupied elsewhere and wouldn't bother with the quest as you do have the Love Shack and animals already.
Love reading your hints, tips while you forge ahead.. so, extra happy to see you.
Will take note of what you mentioned above.. as I see this is a VERY energy consuming quest.. so saving everwhere counts.
Question: which mushrooms did you find have a better return on collecting those 'rare' ribbons? To me seems they all have little drops.. and 'ouch' the collection is wicked!

Will anything come out of mushrooms besides dire boars? How many hits do we need to do before a silk ribbon comes up? I've spent more than 30 energy on this thing, but no success at all. Is there a glitch here?

Everyone crying about golden nuggets/eggs , you should consider buying the golden mine
It's very very cheap! 260 gems! And it's the best investment so far! Better that wizard school or any other gem building! Every day the golden item is a guarantee drop. And you won't have that problem again. I had Saved gems and could afford to get one.
And even if I didn't have the saved gems I would invest $5 in the game i love to play.

As usual lately, I'm doing this one because I have literally nothing else to do. I'm just wondering.... Instead of having us jump through hoops to get a few trades in for things found in the Love Shack, why not just sell the Love Shack for gems and be done with it? I imagine that would make a ton of money for S8, and it would please many players who have been asking for the Love Shack for years.
Then we wouldn't have to collect mushrooms for dismal drops. And grow even more pigs no long term player needs or wants, and no short term player can afford.

I realize it's because of Valentine's Day, but didn't we just have a wedding with Cindy and what's his name? Who are now crowding our kingdoms, apparently never to be heard from again? Before that it was Clyde and his fancy carriage to win his runaway bride. Sabina and Thurston got married and also disappeared from the game, dialog and all, they too just wander around aimlessly now.....why can't we have a story line update that gets back into the lives of our original characters, or deeper into the lives of the more recent ones?

The feeling I'm getting from the forums is that people are tired of new characters who appear for one timed event only. (and they're ALWAYS timed ) And after a tremendous amount of rocks and trees (or mushrooms) have been chopped, they leave behind a new animal.
Or maybe that's just me. Either way, at this point the thrill is gone.

One hint for growing pigs, I wish I could remember who shared it first, so I could give credit. For those who want to work ahead a bit...

I bought an extra pig and am feeding them ahead. When the first piggie grows up, I'll know the rest only need one more feeding. That way they'll be ready when I get to that part. Others have suggested equally good (and less expensive) ways.

I'm so tired of doing the same goals over & over again (just different buildings & rewards). This has been going on since August that I can remember.
Let's move on to something else, please, S8!!!!
