queenkat3 it's only dead trees that count towards these. You have to fully chop 3 dead trees to finish it.
I just got this one too! But I've just used up all my energies looking for charms lol, will have to get chopping dead trees later...

I do not know how people get to do things without this forum! I mean I chopped three different trees and I thought nothing happens?! Now I bought two dead trees (had one) so, now the goal is finished. Thank you guys, for helping figuring this out!
I think it is the only the dead tree....just bought 3, cut them down....goal is now gone....
Hey folks, we just pushed an update last night that should let you know which Fortune you are currently on, if you are on one.
Nothing has changed, except that once you collect from the Fortune Teller, if Ivy gives you a new fortune, you'll get a quest in your log associated with that Fortune so you can help keep track of things.
Those of you who are currently on Fortunes should see a quest appear in your log. If not, try collecting from the Fortune Teller a few times and see if Ivy has something new for you
We do plan on releasing new Fortunes soon. Thanks everyone!

Just chop 3 dead trees. It will complete the goal. You have to completely chop them until they are gone!
