Your Edit is exactly what happened in Digging Up the Past. You choose one Chef and Pet, and can purchase the other Chef and Pet with gems. Too much going on in the Kitchen. Like the characters, and love having a Bakery. My favorite place!

Ponds spawn overbaked cakeling. Wells work too. They drop glimmer whisk.

Whisks are used in bakery to get extra items needed for recipes, just like adventures do in other events. Hoping my first gives me extra sugar pouches like from Ivy.
