Does anyone know if the reindeer is a pet or just a decoration?? I don't want to do this event if all we get is a decorative reindeer!

you are not missing anything. the presents just accumulate
there is nothing in them. You are rewarded along the way for the number of presents you do have.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, or if it is already common knowledge and I'm just a total ignoramus, but... DO NOT upgrade the tree until right after you've collected your presents. Upgrading it will reset the timer back to 3 hours. Wish I'd known that beforehand

And there are 15 levels to upgrade. Last upgrade required 48 of each part

Whaaaat? That is ridiculous especially as we all have so much free time at Christmas not.
I have sent over 200 orders and struggled to get to level 6.
