No, unfortunately you can't store it and the egg goes directly to the nest after you buy it.

Yes, the limit is 5 Treasure Terraces now.
When the 9th Gold Dragon came to the market some months ago, the limit was 4 Treasure Dragons, but the limit didn't change immediately.
I remember many players, who had already 8 Gold Dragons, shouting for a 5th habitat and after a few days TL finally fixed it.

Can anyone confirm is this just a 1 gold/ day dragon like the original treasure dragons or does it give more gold/day at higher levels like the White Gold one does?
Feyayeruka, they all give more gold at higher levels. A max of 5 gold per day per dragon at level 10.
There is a thread about collecting gold that shows it all clearly.
