I've had a stroke of good fortune. I was trying for Turquoise and got 20 hours. As it turns out, it is an Island. So I'm set for that task without even trying. Put the parents back on the Den and have another 20 hours cooking. Maybe this one will be Turquoise.
You can send before, I've done it many times, but do not collect until the Act prompts you.
Midlevel said "complete" quest, so you can send your dragon early. I don't know about the high levels, I just started my high level tales today.

I may be asking a stupid question, I can't seem to find Ranger Dragon anywhere in my storage. I'm currently in Chapter 3. Does it mean that I had to buy Ranger Dragon from the market for 1000 gold?
