They spawn from chopping the Seamstress Crate. (which you need anyway if you're participating in the event)
Or from tending to animals, Farmhouses, Hatchery, Stable, chopping trees..

Maybe you had a roll-back? Is the Goal still completed?
Try to force-close and double check your inventory and realm.
If it's still not there and the goal is completed, I think you should contact S8 customer support. https://support.storm8.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
They can usually help with that sort of problems.

Fangbeasts rarely show when you need them especially in monster hunts. I was getting quite a few from the boxes

I've tried consistently with farmhouses and animals mainly cows but haven't spawn any yet.

I only got 1 in the entire event from a rock outcropping.

I might just drop this event as just a few days left.

Make sure you don't have a beast spawned elsewhere.
If you haven't been collecting from Ivy, I don't think you would be able to finish. But I'm just guessing at stuff here.
Obviously I don't know all the details of your situation.

You might try the seamstress crates, that's where I got most of mine.

If you are participating in this event, why are you not spawning Fangbeasts from chopping Seamstress Crates?
That's probably how everyone spawns them.
