Problems with birthday cat

Finally got the birthday cat and also bought a cat bungalow.
When I first placed the cat on the far, he walked around. Now he won't walk around and is stuck to the cat bungalow even when I move it.
Tried ringing that bell thing but that does nothing that I can tell.

How can I fix this?

Maybe he is hungry and you have to feed him...

He usually walks around and ringing the bell makes him go to the bungalow. It's the same with all the pets in the game.

Also, how do I move him to a different area of the farm? He's on the wrong side of the river

He returns to bungalow when he's hungry, otherwise he roams around your farm. If you only want to keep him on only one side of the farm, you need to fence your farm.

My cat is walking around his play area but hasn't needed feeding in days?! If I highlight play area food is frayed out and black plus sign is highlighted. Thoughts please?

Try dragging the bucket over him to collect, then see if you can feed him.

Make sure you have an open path for him to roam. He could of been blocked off by buildings or decorations you have around his bungalow.
