Organizing Gifts!!

Hi,
I think it'd be great if you could add a search bar that pops up when you open the gifts tab. This would allow us to search up the name of parts and gift them a lot quicker than having to scroll endlessly through the extensive list of parts.

probably would take too much programming since they would have to re-do all of the parts on the list for every language the game is played in.

So this has been an ongoing issue for so long. Why doesn't the admin actually do something about this. Restaurant Story has the food organized in tabs. It's so much easier to gift. And having a tab for basic parts would be amazing. If they can do it for one game, they can do it for bakery story. Is it just that they don't care and choose not to? Come on Developers, this is an easy fix. How can we expedite this simple fix

Are we getting any updates on a category sorting tabs for gifting neighbors? I see a lot of people requesting this as an option. Is there a reason it can?t be done or just some type of hold up?

Would love to see better organization in the gift tab. Would like to see it under all the tabs. Takes way too long to find something.

i asked storm 8 the same question .and just got referred to here , i wonder if they even look .....My wife is builting an oven that needs a santa hat i had to tap 206 time just to get to it

Just wondering if the comments for improvements are read and considered? Gifts and items need organized. By theme? Alphabetical? Pop up menus? Something as it is very time consuming.

It is so difficult to gift any basic parts or food in this game 🥺...Storm8 team...you should make that easier by separating gift options....

Bakery Story NEEDS a Gift Search

Most players in this game send gifts daily. While this can be as quick as pressing the most recent gift to be released, many would prefer to receive and send personalised gifts.

What does this mean?

This means scrolling through pages of gifts just to send the most basic of gifts: Food & Basic Parts.. These items are basically at the back of the list. In addition to these basic parts, finding the 5 day mission parts can also be an undertaking.

To put it into perspective:
It takes 227 taps to get to the first food gift.
This continues to increase with every new goal appliance.

You have not provided the most simple means to navigate this gift menu. We cannot even go from the first page and tap left, going backwards to skip the last page (It doesn't loop).
A lack of search function also makes it incredibly difficult to find the older parts needed for the 5 day missions. To expect players to either be well aware of where all the gifts are, or to spend a ridiculous amount of time searching for them every time is just ridiculous.

The game is not in a fair playable state for users who do not have an hour every day.


What is the Impact of this Poor Design?

Overall poor player experience. A lack of search function adds an unnecessary amount of time to daily tasks. Players will be less likely to send their friends the right gifts as they do not have the time on a busy day. This leads to players struggling to finish goals on time as you have made goals so dependent on gifts.
Players abandon the game as they are unable to fully participate in the content you advertise. Players may also leave the game, finding the time it takes to send gifts as too taxing for their daily life.


Why should Storm 8 Care?

Low Accessibility = Loss Of Customers
If you want your game to do well, you need your players to be happy and to stick around. Happy players will be far more likely to financially support the game.


What should Storm 8 do?

Implement a usable search feature to sending gifts AT MINIMUM. For example:

A simple search bar that can allow players to search for items by their name. (Note that "Chocolate ca" should still result in chocolate cake. "Chocolate" show everything with "Chocolate" in the name.)
An even better search would allow players to search "Popcorn" to find all parts related to the popcorn themed appliances, but this isn't a necessity.

A filter could be added to allow players to check "Food" to display all food, or "Basic Parts" for common and reoccurring appliance parts.

These searches and filters could also be added to the shop where it also takes quite a long time to flip through.
There are many other quality of life updates that could be added to the game but this one is by far the most important from my experience.
