Does the birdhouse do anything or is it just decor?

There are several different bird houses. As far as I know they are all for decoration only and serve no other purpose. I know there's one you can buy with coins and then an animated one bought with gems and another animated one you can try to win in the hot air balloon game. There have also been some that people got through events....I think they had one during the Valentine's event.
