The drop rates for the shadow lynx are decreasing while the amount needed to upgrade increases. This quest is the most disappointing one ever. What is the logic in having quests that anger the players? Harvested today Thomas, Ivy and 2 level 6 mines and got zero lynx. Really takes the fun out of this game. Considering on just using the pelts to craft a lynx.

I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but I got a Shadow Lynx trap from the "Search the Ancient Vault" quest. Pleasant surprise!

I got 8 hours left hunting for roaming bandits so I will try tomorrow. I wonder if the quest would work with the Haunted Keep or the Barracks. If nothing is posted to the contrary I'll give those a try tomorrow night.

I went to go check mine & got a purple petal...lol. Petals are new for me.

In the last few days, I've only had 2-3 cats spawn. Today has only been one, and that was from Ivy this morning (no lynx this evening). And definitely paid attention today to the drop rate of pelts... a whopping 2 pelts. I did get a few boars. I can only play once in the morning and twice in the evening as I do work and can't access the game during the day. I will admit I miss the days I could play with that frequency (and less alicorns) and always finish the events. I'll keep plodding away, but my enjoyment has definitely diminished. I truly wish the spawn rate were increased. Keeping fingers crossed.

Had a wee giggle when I opened my inventory just then.....I may not have many shadow pelts (I have 19) but....

Not sure if this actually helps at all, but try spreading out potential Lynx triggers throughout collections. So maybe try collecting from OT, other random things, THEN Mine. Worth a shot.

At this point, anything' worth a shot! Actually I have decided that if the drop rate doesn't improve by the weekend, I'm going out lynx hunting in my actual neighbourhood, instead of in my kingdom. I think the success rate might be the same, or perhaps even higher! And at least I'll get to stop and chat with a few neighbours on the way.
