Accidental gem spending due to pop up screens about past updates

I have recently been experiencing problems with playing Restaurant Story on my android device. Every time I log in, pop up screens appear asking me if I'd like to spend gems on past updates that I haven't finished and/or participated in. It is annoying, and I've reported it before because it is making the game difficult to play and not enjoyable. I just recently logged in, having about 32 or 33 gems in total, and numerous pop up screens appeared trying to get me to spend my gems on past updates. I clicked "no" repeatedly, but then accidentally ended up clicking on the "yes" part of the screen while trying to click on a recipe to start cooking and lost 26 gems. Is anyone else experiencing this problem with pop up screens appearing relating to past updates? It's so annoying and really spoiling my enjoyment of the game.
