If I buy it for gems do the earning double for things i have on my counters to be served or things completely cooked on stoves waiting to be served ?
It lasts for 2 hours so anything your customers eat whether it’s already on the counters or served and eaten during those 2 hours you should get double the coins

How can I get rid of unwanted gifts such as screws, knobs, fuses , & so on?
There is no option to remove or delete these items from your storage.
You would need to construction things so you can use up these items.
