The casita wallpaper that I bought a few years ago is not counted. So I have to buy again the wallpaper then is counted.

I like to have the counters available with the first dish, not near the end of the goal. What is the point of matching counters then??

Yes, the quest requires you to buy wallpaper, so placing existing wallpapers from your inventory wouldn't give credit for the goal.

Problems: I've justarted on the first goal. I purchased the floor tiles - check. I purchased the wall paper but no check and it didn't register so now I am stuck on the goal saying to buy the wallpaper when I already have 😖

Please try buying another wallpaper. Any other wallpaper should also count for the goal
