What you want to do is to put out multiple buildings with the longer collection times to be ready if called upon to visit them. Farmhouses are used a lot, but they don't take up much room and reset every 10 minutes. They can wait until you find out if you need them.

I love these wholesales! There is always something nice to choose from and I can catch up on items I have missed. I am normally a reserved spender and a sane person but when one of those comes around my inner Mrs Insane emerges. If those happened more often, my husband would block my account LoL.
I never put real money into the game, I only use gathered gems.
(unless there is a main storyline released - I bought Cornelius back when the Mermaid storyline was released.)
