Missing Coins

Bought coins to buy rare fighters. Played for a while and spent 42 coins. Just got back in the game and only have 15 coins! Do these things just disappear when your not playing? How can I get my coins back?! tried contacting storm 8 but am getting no where so thought i'd try this. As i played the game on my old ipod wanted it on this one, knew it would restart me from the beginning so knew i would need coins. can anyone help?
