Think it was fixed...pretended to put a pond in inventory and then it was ok

Unlucky bandits drop the clovers. Collecting from farmhouses will spawn the bandits so make sure there's no other monster parked somewhere. You'll get one clover for every bandit you defeat. Maybe more but I've only gotten one per beast so far.

Haven't tried but I don't think so since the quest says you can only find red wisps near red items.

10 farmhouses yielded 1 troll bandit and he dropped 1 clover. 6 large rock outcroppings and zero gold coins. Plenty of dire boars and fangbeasts though.
Yep, I'm complaining. This is already discouraging. If I could play and get close, I'd be tempted to spend some gems to finish. But with such dismal drop rates straight out of the gate, no way will I spend gems to even get started.

Ps. For the side goal....my strategy is to wait until I get enough clovers to craft the horse (IF I get enough, then I'll buy the trap and get the gems back immediately. I never buy it unless I'm sure I'll be able to finish the goal to get the gems back. Also, anyone wanting to keep the trap for a souvenir should try storing it immediately after purchasing, before leaving the game. (Assuming it works like the last several events have)
