Glen: That wicked creature was a beastling! They have completely swamped my pond!
Ivy: Your pond? Don't you mean your swamp?
Glen: It used to be a lovely garden pond... But the swamp beastlings transformed it into a swamp with their foul magics! If only I could rid the swamp of them, but I am just a wee frog. It's all so exhausting!
Ivy: Ruler, do you think we could help?
Ruler: yes, I think we should be able to help you with this swamp problem!
Glen: Oh, how wonderful! You could start by adding fresh water to the pond!

Found it, it was PrincessCupoButter, sneak peak thread, pg 107, post 1062. Suggesting Ivy would turn her lover in to a frog by accident of a potion and we'd need to turn him back. Not a bad guess PCoB ����

I'm a high level player and all of these gold nuggets have wiped me out... I'm starting to think this is so we'll buy the golden mine thing > I spend plenty of money on this game already.

I don't think you can buy the golden mine - I believe it was only offered for a limited time - I ran through my 99 gold nuggets that I'd had for ages in a blink. I didn't realize how slow they are to find.

If they offered they golden mine I would probably buy it - maybe that is their angle - to get us all desperate for golden nuggets so that we are motivated to buy it when they offer it again.

I have used gems to advance my mines and collected from Ivy's hut and still not a beastling to be had. I hope this isn't another frustrating event with low drop rates!

I have bought the golden mine. It does not drop gold nuggets very often, mostly it is just golden eggs and golden apples. Since then I have the impression that I don't get any more golden apples from apple trees (which used to be 1 per day).

I think the golden mine drops as often golden nuggets as the other mines or rock outcroppings.

Yeah I have given up on these "special" events. They are impossible to complete unless you spent a lot of money and play every hour of the day. I have played this game for 4 years and it didn't use to be like this. Storm 8 is greedy. I am about ready to stop this game all together.
