New update no more gifting gold to neighbours?

Updated game and am unable to gift to my neighbors. The option has totally disappeared, both from the news menu, and when I visit their island. What's going on?? Glitch or intentional? If so that is really mean.

I was able to gift gold today, but I don't have the newest update. Did you try restarting your game? If they have gotten rid of that feature, that will be it for me.

I'm IOS. My update was feb 18th

So it must be a glitch on your side.

Could be specific to certain users. maybe it's based on level or amount of gold held or maybe they're doing some analysis of your accounts and found something unusual (incorrectly). That said this did happen once, and then it fixed itself the day after. Sometimes they make changes and it has a weird side effect, good and bad. I know there were a few people who were there when for about 20 minutes you could send gems and gold to neighbours as many times as you wanted.

I still have the option to gift. Did you update from iTunes? If so try deleting and reinstalling the game. If you are still missing this feature, please let me know.
