    Earthquake relief fund

How about Team Lava team up w ITunes so that us bakery players can contribute to the Japan earthquake fund. Instead of buying gems, we purchase 0.99 cents for a piece of fund. it should be feasible. Many of us players feel for the victims and want to do a small part. there r thousands n thousands of players here. we could play a part.

As much as I don't approve of TeamLava's customer service, I'm backing them on this issue. TeamLava is a business, not a charity. If you want to contribute to the earthquake fund, go to the websites of one of the charity organisations that is working in Japan. (Eg. Red Cross International)

The money people spend on Bakery Story gems is used to run their company. They probably have lots of costs such as game server running costs, web server rental and maintenance, office space rental, employee salaries. If they gave all their profits to charity then they could not pay for the servers and the game would not work any more.

If you want to help the disaster fund for Japan you are much better off sending a donation to The Red Cross.

A game isn't the best way to collect for disaster victims. It's far too easy for the money to get lost with other purchases and more likely that the money never gets to those that need it.

If you really want to help the victims of the earthquake and the resultant tsunami, please consider a direct donation. Thanks for listening!

Every other game I play has set up special items for purchase, a portion of which are going to aid the disaster victims in Japan. They don't seem to have any problem assisting in a terrible time for the Japanese people. Many devs and game companies have many people of Japanese/Asian descent. Most of them are anxious to do something and give us the opportunity in an easy way to help out too. You can also make a donation directly, but when you are playing a game every day, and the opportunity is there, it's very natural and easy to help out. There's no reason TL can't do the same.

It's a good idea but unfortunately Team Lava seems more concerned with making money than helping out, even when it comes to their loyal players.
