As usual my comment has to do with the randomizer S8 uses.

I guess I need help....help help help that unbeatable L1 Cobra has beaten my L15 Marshmallow, L14 Berzerker and L14 Soccer.

Nice job S8 way to make the game fun.

I'd use a black hybrid lower than level 10. I used my level 9 Dark Angel but only as an experiment. I'd say try something like a Night, Archangel, Siamese, Goblin or something exotic like Cursed Rose or any black tournament boss like Gatekeeper, Avalanche or Villainess.
Also try not to use a dragon that's more than 10 levels above an opponent. I found more losses that way.

Thanks @starship412 this is helpful. I'm blindly following the advice on this thread since I'm clueless about battling. I'm still on the first dragon after losing with Diamond 10 and Forest 10. And I was all ??????

i finally bred a diamond recently, and had sent out to battle at level 10, generally it loses to its opponent.
not really what i hoped for.

perhaps diamond is only useful when it is at level 15?

Yup works best at L-15 but choose opponents with hope

This is sound advice. A lvl 15 metal and fire should def be priority. You can do alot with just those two.

The top of my list are Glasswing/Rainbow Sentinel and Light Mother if you managed to get one of those.

From the breedable ones, the Double and Triple Rainbow should be your goal.

My diamonds generally only take on other diamonds and champions

Yep I always say you have to factor in your dragon's level along with color combo when it comes to battle. The advice of using baby dragons against champions can be reversed when using a level 15 dragon against a level 1 dragon. This is why I try my level 15s later in tourneys.

You can try Rainbow or Water

Was time when we win lvl 20 Chapms with lvl 10 dragons - we don't have Crystal who give us to rise dragons over lvl 10
