Better laughing in THEIR faces than to give them 24 Skunky Pies! I did and am still crying as can't get them all back yet! That was a month ago.. and all I got was Bronze, still, for the whole month.
This Elven roulette is just an illusion! You really need luck! ..not even with constant, expensive exchanges will help to get you Gold!
So if you care for your kingdom.. protect your 'precious' goods and give only those common and easy to replace.. or those mean Elves will only laugh in YOUR face after.
Ridiculous requests are inserted as seen, but the choice is yours. Be wise! cause when your 'rare' goods are gone.. they're gone for good.

rainbow pot is rare.. but will come eventually. I did the 'qua-qua' dance when I saw it as I do when I see a Gold Ruin.

('qua-qua' dance is a dance of extreme happiness.. usually used by kids when they are left alone without adult supervision for awhile. any African step will do, just as long as you gesticulate your hands and jump up and down)

Now the elves want adamant from me too. I'm not giving it to them. I'm also not giving them any crafted food items like simple feast... those are very rare for me.

Getting?!? Lol! They have reached a new level of greed with that one!

This time they wanted 14 of my 29 purple hides. We shared a good laugh, then I told them to get lost.
I realize that there is no other use for purple hides, but I also know as soon as I give them away, some timed quest will require them. :-/

And....I totally agree with the previous posts....blue fish and feral magic are just too hard to replenish. I skip those trades and also the ones wanting a ton of gold items. A few bronze runes just aren't worth being caught short during a timed quest. If they ever make the payments equivalent to the items traded I might reconsider. But for now I'll just keep my rare drops. And I'll stay stuck at 9 gold runes forever I suppose. Lol
