Mastery stars not increasing

I am on level 15 and I have 305 stars the stars are not increasing when I finish orders in a business please advice

Can you click on your city hall, take note of your mastery stars and the number of businesses, then store a mastered business? Click on your city hall again and check those figures, you should see a decrease.

Then place back your business to your city and check city hall figures again. Do you see an increase?

I did what you asked and stored a business then put it back and my total stars did not alter

Just to check, did it change when you stored the business? You should get a message box telling you that the mastery stars would decrease if you store it, did you get that prompt?

The star number did not change when I stored the building or when I returned it

Your progress is saved on the Storm 8 servers. Make sure you have set up a storm ID and password for your game.

I have just completed another business and my star rating is now 305 it should have gone to 310 before I completed the final star the star rating was 309 when I finished it went to 305 !

I enjoy this game but am getting frustrated at not being able to advance
