I got a little excited about this continuation of the plot line. But it ended so quickly:-/

Everything ends with whatever is your last collection... without a word, without an explanation and the quest page just disappears... leaving you in suspense!!!

Is looking for the clue the current quest in your book? Sometimes the game rests and undoes/changes where you are in the challenges.
You can try force closing everything, shutting down device and restarting.

The 'clue' comes from the Chateau.. so insist there. I didnt find it in the first visits either. As Asley said make sure ur game has memorized ur last steps... and keep collecting from the Chateau.
