Hemorrhaging gold

Due to lag on an older iPad I have lost at least 150 gold in the last week. Tapping repetitively on the screen near the top when the screens itself shifts due to missing a habitat by a hair is a recipe for losses of gold. There absolutely should be be a confirmation button for every transaction involving real and gold! What can I do to reverse these losses
