I'm confused about Beating the Sands of Time side quests.

I see people saying not to finish the first part until they have 50 fragments, but part two won't activate until you finish part one. So either way it seems like you will have to collect 75 fragments for both parts.
Am I missing something?

If you collect 50 then start the craft and finish part one, will part two then say you "had" 50 fragments?

What it means is AFTER you trigger part 2, don't craft any MORE desert jewels until after you have collected 50 fragments. Otherwise, the counter resets and you have to start collecting the 50 again.

For part 2, I had 26/50 collected, but I started crafting and my counter went down to 1/50.

Part 2 says "collect" but this is misleading, you actually have to "have" 50 fragments in inventory to complete the task.

(You are correct, the two parts require 75 total. If you collect 50 before completing part one, part two should automatically say you have 25/50, so you should only need to collect 25 more to complete part 2)

The change from 3 to 4 is pretty dramatic. Everyone seemed eager to check it out. Except Sabina....maybe she's upset about the genie's name

Spiritwind you can also get desert sand from rocks but the output isn't as good as the ponds

With all the clearing of ponds I havent seen a dire boar, did the Naga eat the dire boar?

I was picking strawberries before I put my plots into storage (waste not, want not LOL) and ended up having to slay a dire beast *sigh* I took no damage LOL

Thanks SOOOOO MUCH for the heads up about the jewel fragments !!! I was going to craft them. Really sucks that you now have to collect them again to finish goal... Wording gone wrong ... Again! Lol
