Nope it doesn't, based on members feedback.
They are stored in your silo. Click on your catnip plot and you'll be able to plant it. Each harvest gives you 2 for coin plot. I'm afraid you'll have to buy from others or wait harvest yours. Be careful not to use them all cos you need it for replanting just like your normal crops.
You need gold to make the new bait! That's an expensive lure!
Also, I'd like to ask that we get to keep the catnip plots after the game is done and keep the mouse toy as a craft (but without the pink wool requirement) in the studio. Pretty please?

You collect the pink wool from your sheep along with your regular wool. It would be helpful if there was a flag we could buy with bronze bells to boost the animal products as 6 hours is a long time to wait for those sheep!
