I finished the first part of the cruise and it did not unlock the recipe. This is my first cruise event, I keep getting a message that my cruise departed without my recipe being unlock? Is there a glitch?

This guide seems helpful. Wish I had read it sooner as I came up two days short of finishing still with this cruise. I like the idea of stacking and taking out chairs. What I would find helpful is to know what dishes are worth what amount of coins. I'm level 33 and I update my restaurant as often as I can. My shops except for seafood are at 3. My restaurant is on level 8 expansion. I have all appliances up to my level except the one that just unlocked when I leveled up and I am working on getting the coins to get it. I have a handful of new recipes I am slowly learning as I can afford coin wise as well. 2 f those were asked for on my ship orders but I had to refresh as I have yet to learn them. Also how much minimum pantry space would u suggest having and how many counters?? Hopefully next cruise I will actually finally finish lol. Thank you for all help and advice

There is info on how much coins each dish cost, but it's all for level 49. It's hard to collect this kind of info for lower levels because it all differs. For example on level 33 some of the dishes would cost more coins than the same dishes for level 49:<
And regardless counters and pantry- I use maximum amounts of counters because it allows you to stockpile more dishes and use them towards the cruise requests. And my pantry is 130, some people have max capacity pantries, but I personally never had problems with keeping a lot of ingridients. I know that people was able to finish event with much smaller pantries. It all depends on your style of playing, some people like to hoard everything, I personally only keep veggies at ~7 as well as mayo and rice. Hope it makes sense:>

bumping this for folks who haven't seen it before. Sorry it's not edited, I've gotten pretty busy, but it's still a lot of great info from folks about how the cruises work. If people have other questions, I can try to get them answered here too. Rawr!!

Yes this guide is very useful to get members to get started on cruises. FYI you can add your ID and find others looking for neighbours in the Add Me forum. https://forums.storm8.com/forumdisplay.php?72-Add-Me. For quickserves, you can visit the Restaurant Story 2 FB site and find others to add for quickserves.
