Birthday Cake Upgrade

Stages of upgrade
There are altogether ? stages.
Stage 1
To upgrade to Stage 2 requires 5 confetti, 14 red balloons
To upgrade to Stage 3 requires 16 confetti frostings, 20 red balloons, 20 blue balloons
...

I have the confetti & red balloons. I just don't know how to up grade.

You might have to reboot your device. I had the same issue. Rebooting fixed it. Tap the cake and the upgrade should show up.

Ok, I am already aggravated. I need one more party horn. I have done over 20 deliveries and NADA.

Are the only prizes the dog/cat and the cake? Is that it?

You need to buy the cake and place it on your farm. Then click on it to upgrade. You will have to collect more confetti and Balloons In order to get to complete the goal and move to goal 2

I bought the balloon bunch for 90 gems. I now know twice it has a timer on it. Please tell me I didn't waste 90 gems for 7 hours of "help".

I haven't bought it yet, but I have questions about it and that quest line as well. That's (again) an awful lot of gems for little use.

You can make the confetti chow at goal 5.

I have now discover the 90 gem balloon bouquet will give a blue balloon and one confetti every 7 hours. Not exactly what I expected but a lot better than what I feared.

Just keep making and selling what you can. Since some of us (being unable to afford purchases of gems) will need all the help we can get to make the deliveries needed to collect upgrade parts, the best way to assist is to continue to provide what items you can craft in your Side Shops.
