Haha, my Level 7 Colosseum has started giving multiples at last - so now I have 5 chisels and 17 hammers! If I succeed in reaching Level 10, I anticipate having approximately 200 extra hammers....
you could be the lucky one. in a few events time, we might all be searching for hammers.....
have to admit though, based on experience from all the events I have been in, the likelihood is that they will just end up looking lovely in your inventory

Lantern spires count - I had 7. Not sure what spires of love are but would suggest they don't count.
The love spires do not count.
