Not another tournament! I've still got dragons to heal. Has anyone ever completed one WITHOUT spending gold?

Sorry the tournaments have frustrated you so. It can be maddening but at the same time, yes it can be done without gold. I won COLOSSAL without using gold and my husband won FOG without using gold.

I just won my first tournament, didn't spend gold, not with s**** and careful selection but sheer dumb luck to be truthful. I've spent a good amount of time reading the countless strategic color combo plans, battle results, and statistics, not because I care about winning, I am amazed at how much time, research, money and effort many players put into these tournament
It feels like there isn'tmuch of an opportunity for new players like myself to fight outside of tournaments.

Yes. Ive spent gold on a few only. I didn't use gold on the last tournament and I finished early

My game plan is this: I probably won't win but I'll go as far as I can lol. Same with breeding, just throw 2 in the den and see what happens, lucked out and got a Diamond at lvl 26 . Play it for what it is, a game and you'll enjoy it a lot more ☺

That baby, though! OMG it's so cute!! <3 If I am lucky enough to win this one, I will probably never evolve him. But it's a hard call, since all the stages look good.

But that little baby face... I just wanna hug it! XD

Based on what's already listed,

Metal should be:
Use: Red, Diamond, Rainbow
Avoid: Blue, Gold, Zodiac

Egypt should be:
Use: Mythic, Gold, Royal
Avoid: White, Black, Stone

Soccer should be:
Use: Red, Purple
Avoid: Green, White, Pink, Gold, Fairytale
