I apologize if this question has been asked and answered somewhere before, but do you not obtain rainbows (or whatever the thing that's being collected is for any given community world event) from hatching "non-breedable" animals (ones you win from tournaments, events, etc.)?

You can hatch any animal and collect rainbows etc. for world events.
