mine refreshed during play too (first time in forever), i did not notice if it removed my progress or not but, after i closed game and went back to play a couple minutes later, game won't load. it keeps crashing/shutting off on loading screen..
edit: never got the maintenance popup but, others say thats what is going on.

I kepted having issues after each visited it telling me I needed Internet when I was connected. it even took away some progress on my kingdom. Finally was going to give up when I got message about maintenance. We should have gotten notice ahead time.
This is disappointing as it means I won't be able to finish Ivy's Petting Zoo. I had the plan worked out, but that doesn't help when I can't even get in the game.
Sorry about that! We had to perform unplanned maintenance early this morning. It's been completed, so you should be able to access the game once again.
