Help! Game won't load

i am in the middle of petting zoo event and started feeding my new cows and pigs when game told me I need Internet connection and started reloading. It continues to say the same thing over and over and won't start. Checked wifi all good restarted iPad same story. I spent a bunch of gems already and don't want to miss out on the petting zoo. Any suggestions?

Try closing out all applications running in the background of your Ipad.

You can also try going to settings- safari and clear out data, then restart your Ipad.
