Today I finally had enough and bought the last dang strand. I've been collecting every day except one since the event started. I'm not sure what comes after "abysmal," but that's what the drop rate has been.
Have you managed to collect all 5 shimmering strands?? I collect from the magic garden everyday and not even one shimmering strand has appeared. I have been stuck on this "study" part for a week now. I don't have gems to buy shimmering strands. Any tips???

unless you have any in inventory before the change in the ability to store these trees, yes, you'll need to buy 5, water till fully grown and chop them all down (for goal 6)
Can I just confirm that the strands are not a definite drop? With a collection rate of once per day, it's going to take forever if they don't drop daily. Which is all rather depressing. Four days so far and still on one strand.

Less and less to appeal in the game.
Still no threads. Given all the glitches in the game at the moment, how long before I conclude that this version on the game has dropped them out by mistake and submit a ticket? I already have a ticket in because Nadina sends notifications by the dozen. (No response).
I'm holding off as I imagine morale is a bit low there and don't want to grumble, but it's the only thing I've got to work on.
