It does not appear so.
On the bright side, however, we do get gem sales (in the form of multi-item plus gem offers, sometimes plus gold coins) in this game, whereas I haven't seen one yet in RS2. But while that is helpful to those who wish to partake, I don't think there is a free way to earn yet, aside from installing games as those tasks pop up.
I hope we get the video option in this game too. Especially being a new game I am less likely to spend gems and having a few would be nice to slowly build up. If things go right then maybe in time I would buy gems for the right item of quest as well

Play often, help w/ requests & gifts. Looking for 1-2 40+ to exchange wisps I have great neighbors I gift but they?re often full. I gift back in order so it would be 1-2 days
Love the game & aesthetics, want it to look real/fun & true! During quests sadly aesthetics put aside for collections, but happy when over. Have expansions to improve as well!
