I'm not off to a good start. Round 1 and my Epic Treent lost to a level 1 Sobek.

Exact same thing happened to me. Won on the second try with the Wild Wondercat. My Treent lost on the second round as well.

I have been assured in the past that my failure to get ANY trio animals in the past 4-5 trios made little difference in tournaments. Well, that does not hold true in this tournament. I guess I throw some Earth at the gold lion and maybe smother him. (Or make hm sneeze in annoyance). ��

Chippychan, can Quartz Quetzalcoatl be used anywhere Emerald is recommended? Both are gem-nature. I ask because sometimes Emerald is on the recommendation list, but QQ isn't. And I have QQ, not Emerald. ;-)

I'm not Chippychan but I'd say yes. It's the same elements. I know there are times when Wild Wondercat is recommended but mine is only level 11 so I instead use my level 15 Patriotter.
