You can but the odds are lower since using all three colors result in you looking for 2 of 18 possible outcomes.

If you just do yellow and white you are looking for 1 of 4 possible outcomes.

If you just do yellow and green you are looking for 1 of 8 possible outcomes.

(these numbers assume you have one or both breeding dragons less than 15th level along with on an android based verison of the game.)
