agreed : i didn't hatch my jackal-lantern because it wasn't worth since i would hatch out of time, but if i knew the end was tuesday, i had plenty of time to do it

I'm wondering this too. I finished yesterday, but not with 17 hours left to be able to gain the 5 gems.

I have a worse situation here as I spent around 50 gems in this tourney to speed up the time and yet could not win during the false timer. I literary got stuck on each round for at least 2 times even the first round which suppose to be easier. Not to mention the 11 losses I incured to beat the horrible Golden Retriever, 5 losses to owl Bear. I even could not believe my self when I got stuck for 4 times in round 9 before I could beat the common Armadilo!
Now I am in round 15 struggling to get passed Emerald Dragon, 3 losses so far and still counting..
So, like the many other players I am wondering , is there is any possibility that I can get back the many Gems I spent trying to win the jackal??

Well the extra 2 days don't seem to be helping me. I gave up on Sunday after 6 losses to the Ghostrich and it took me 5 tries yesterday to beat it. I've now had 5 losses to the Emerald Dragon so far.

My record for the wonderful time extension is currently 1-9 and I've got 4 rounds left...and 16 hours. Looks like I won't get the prize again. That's just adding insult to injury.
