This tournament there are two new animals that will get some exercise, being a level 14 Barn Owl and an epic level Trick-or-Treent. They partially 'tread on Ember terrain', so I must be careful to not let Ember get jealous and let its Gold Lion wrath loose upon me, but I'll definitely be putting in several rounds with those two new animals.

Notes on specific rounds:

#18: This morning I woke up and as a surprise I directly had to face the notorious Razorback. I had planned on trying the Trick-or-Treent against the gem animals in this tournament, but Ruby is precisely the one to which dark is weak, so I decided to give the Prize Pony the first two attempts. She got it on her second attempt, which is a great outcome against a level 16 gem ultra rare!
Note that the Trick-or-Treent would not have been a bad choice either; it's just that her "dark side" would have been neutraled out against the "fiery character" of the Razorback, so I opted to give the Prize Pony the first shots. Besides... the Prize Pony hadn't yet made an appearance in this tournament, so it was about time I'd put her in against something.

#21: Of course..... Moments after putting my Quartz Quetzalcoatl in the den, I face an opponent which is doubly weak to it, being the "pure earth" Rock Rhino. And to add insult to injury, my back-up plan in the form of the Ancient Sloth failed to secure an instant victory. :S
Still I don't (really) want to free the Quartz Quetzalcoatl from breeding unless one of the opponents is the Obsidian Cyclops....
Ah! The Ancient Sloth just did its thing and got the Rock Rhino on its second attempt.

#28: Sooooo... Finally we meet the Quartz Quetzalcoatl as an opponent. As it's a level 20 specimen, I expect to need a few turns to get past it. I shall alternate somewhat between the Swan Prince and the Trick-or-Treent. If neither of those two yields a victory within a few attempts, I'll probably try something else too...
UPDATE: The Trick-or-Treent got it on its very first attempt! The very first strike was directly a critical hit! Wow: this is an EXCELLENT fighter!!!

#29: Fortunately I had taken the possibility into account that we might have to face a level 20 Snapdragon (which is obviously one of TL's favourites for the last stages of tournaments). As I just found out that Autumn is strong to Spring two days before the start of the tournament, I saw to it that my Barn Owl would be at level 14 before that round. Normally I would have made it an epic, but in this case I like the normal adult version better, so at least for now it will stay at level 14. This is the first tournament in which I have an animal that is strong to Spring. Now let's hope it can secure a victory without too much trouble.
Update: Well, the Barn Owl's certainly struggling. It already lost 3 times. It's most definitely not "pulling an Ember"; if the owl doesn't secure a victory soon I may actually see if Ember can do the job!
Update nr. 2: Right after mentioned above that I might let Ember step in to take over the Barn Owl decided to "up its game" and scored an instant critical hit on the next attempt. Way to go buddy! You'll get there too.

Conclusions:
The Trick-or-Treent is everything I had hoped her to be: she took care of six of the rounds including the level 20 Quartz Quetzalcoatl, that's 20% of the rounds including the toughest level 20 ultra rare opponent.
And... not only did she so that, but she also did so on the very first attempt each round, meaning that she stands unbeaten and completely whitewashed its opponents!
But.... as her name 'Shadow' predicts, she does actually stand in the shadow of one even more awesome animal. I think by now you all know who I'm talking about.... Yes... good 'ole Ember outclassed the already stellar performance of the Trick-or-Treent by single handedly taking care of TEN rounds including the level 20 end prize, the Demonkey, and.... wait! There's more! Because... Ember too completely whitewashed ALL opponents! Unbeaten, the King of the Arena still stands!

#07: I need to find a way to get more battles in on weekdays. On round 7 at the end of day two?! Not great.

#18: I didn't think I'd pass this round in one attempt but my Epic Treent sent the Ruby Razorback packing. He's won 8/9 battles first attempt so far, definitely one of my strongest animals. Go Woody!

#20: This kangaroo is causing quite the hold up. I'm going to give my newly epic cyclops a try... Update: Nope . Looks like I'll be stuck here for a while. Update #2: My Crystal Unicorn finally brings the Sidekicker down on its third attempt.

#24: Six rounds left with 20 hours to go... I hope the Quartz Quetzalcoatl in round 28 doesn't cause too much trouble!

#28: Too many losses here, I haven't got time to get stuck! Update: Krystal the Unicorn knocks the (let's face it, gorgeous but stubborn) Quetzalcoatl!

#29: My Hibearnate is only level 10 (11 now) and isn't coping too well against its Level 20 opponent. I levelled it up after it lost at level 10 to see if it made a difference. Nope Only a few hours left. I'd hate to miss out this close! Update #2: After a level TWELVE Hibearnate failing to defeat the Snapdragon, I randomly pick an animal as a last resort... Epic Mardi Claw. Neutral dark attack, Critical electric!! Whoo!! I eventually beat it with a neutral animal! Now one more round, it's already 1 am here, hoping I can get this over soon.

#30: When I lost against the Demonkey with little over an hour left, I thought I wouldn't make it... But I managed to score a critical hit on my second try!! I had 6 minutes left! I'm so glad I got this, with the help of a few gems. This is the second tournament I've won in a row since Ogreve's amazing advice! Let's hope this doesn't end soon :P

Over all 30 -25

Some how the Ancient Sloth seems to have lost his supremacy. Normally I would get a win from him , but this time he has 2 losses ove lvl 2 animals
Round 15 -16 . Had expected some resistance but both went down in one critical hit.
So far it has been very easy tourney for me. Hope it continues this way. I know my nemesis is waiting for me in the next round , the ugly Frankenswine . It took me 22 tries to bring it down in the latest battleground . So have my fingers crossed.

Round 17 : The dreaded Frankenswine went down with one crushing blow... This little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home
Round 19: I knew it was too good 5o last. Till now had a dream run 18 wins and 4 losses. The Swan Princess is acting a bit pricey and refusing to give up. Hope she goes down the next round.

Round 20 : Have started Day 4 with a loss. Hope to improve things later in the day. My only gem animal is in breeding so can use either fire or water elements. The super heron has lost twice .
Make that 2 more Losses to the sidekicker.. 1each to gold lion(fire) and Iciclaw water.
After my QQ also lost , tried the Wild wondercat. Was a little hesitant in using it as she is still at lvl 8 , but it gave me an instant victory. Should have used it earlier.

Round 24. Used my Treent 10 .Got a critical and then a weak hit. Won the battle , not complaining .

Round 29: The Snapdragon turned out to be very stubborn . As recommended used Autumn Equifox (Autumn ) it gave me strong hits but failed . Then tried my stronger fighters but all got neutral hits . Then after read the thread , used lvl 7 Harvest Hoarder and got an instant critical ( but after I had sped the timer) .

All done !!

Overall was having a good tournament until I hit the Snapdragon roadblock . As I do not have any Xmas creatures, my first option was to try my lvl 9 autumn Equifox. I failed Twice so I changed tactics and tried to use my strongest fighters. Then after reading the thread raised my harvest hoarder from lvl 3 to lvl 7 and then used it. It gave me an instant victory!!!

Not a very good start.

Its ironic. I use level 1 animals in the battleground to get data and I win too soon. Now in the tournament, I can't beat a level 1 animal.

Rounds 1-10: Bad start with two losses in the first round. I am surprised to see so many Dark combinations in the first 10 rounds. After a great performance by the Saintly Bernard at the end of the last tournament against Dark, I hoped to do well. So far he has a below average performance at 6-4. I tried mixing in the Treent who had a win and a loss. A typical performance for my Treent, as he never has been a very good battler. Six losses in the first 10 rounds is as bad a start as I have had in any 30 round tournament. Hopefully things will turn around soon.

Day1: Not a very good first day. Only 7 clean rounds out of 13 and two rounds with two losses.

Round 18: Anubis takes down the first Gem opponent. I have been waiting a couple tournaments for a good performance by him. Hopefully this tournament will be it. Still don't like the 10,000 coin reward on this round.

Round 19: Five straight victories come to an end and Caturn loses for the first time.

Rounds 20-21: Enter the Crystal Unicorn with mixed results. She was a bit embarrassed to lose to a commoner (Rock Rhino)

Round 23: Dark/Earth is not a match for Caturn so I went back to the Saintly Bernard , took 3 tries to win.

Day2: Went well until round 25 where the losses started to pile up as me move to Day 3. A couple 2 loss rounds but defeated the first Ultra Rare on the first round.

Round 25: Both Water and Earth tested Neutral against Captain K9. Xmas tested Strong and Fire tested Weak. Gem is Strong as well. Tried a few options but 11 losses so far. More than a 40% of my losses for the whole tournament on this round. I might as well just tested some other elements. Need this to turn around soon, it's getting ridiculous. Finally the 14th battle and the Melodeer finally takes down the Saintly Bernard. Second worse round I have ever had and it used up most of Day 3.

Final Rounds: The last few rounds went pretty well. Two losses to the Quartz Quetzlcoatl on round 28 not too bad and first round victories on the last two rounds brightened things up a bit. I guess is was appropriate that my Saintly Bernard took down the Demonkey since Captain K9 gave me so much trouble in round 25.

This tournament just goes to show you how luck works sometimes. If I had won the first battle on round 25, I would have had my best record ever for a 30 round tournament. Instead, I ended up with 13 defeats on that round and a losing record overall. Just need to find the time to hatch it now for the reward.

I've done some testing against this one (service/earth) in the battlegrounds but haven't able to test everything yet. The elements I don't have test results for yet are:

Nature (I'm thinking this might be strong)
Dark
Electric
Treasure (I'm thinking this might be strong too)
Living Wood
Xmas (this is the only one I can't test because I don't have it)
Valentine
Shamrock
Cosmic
Spring
Egyptian

Update: xMas tested strong against Captain K9 and Fire tested Weak. Toy Poodle might have been a better choice.

That is correct, xMas must be Strong against Service since Xmas is Neutral against Earth.

Tried my Toy Poodle on round 25 as well and lost. The Nature attack is strong against Service/Earth.
