This is a great dragon, can't wait to get it! I'm lazy about mining right now so only have around 30 pieces. Just mining enough to use up some bombs. I'll get serious about mining this weekend.
How long do we get to mine. This is only my second chance to mine so don't know this stuff :O
50 now, still slow but I will eventually get to 200

Depending on S8's scheduled activities, you'll get a minimum of 28 days, often 31/32 days, and once 35 days. Make your plans based on 28 days as it happens about 1/3 of the times. Usually, the release date is included on the thread title, so you have a quick time reference.
I am trying really hard to get 2 of these, still am trying to complete my gem crafting dragon collection and really need a large black gem!
I've only got 28 pieces so far. Feeling demoralised about my mining abilities.....

Got 25 from 6 yesterday. Seems most of my dragons need a long time to evolve! Got a row of them queing up
