Mine shows 1000 gems too. That's why I thought we had to fulfil 1000 gems worth of orders. Thankfully not.
I guess that's the value S8 thinks the pig is worth. If you open your Day 10 early, you'll get the 600 gems order value. I'm perfectly happy to save the gems and wait for my screen to unlock.
Question: when I have fulfilled an order for a level to, say, 95 percent, and if I then his the green arrows at the top for a replacement order, it warns me that I will erase my progress. Does that mean I'd be back at zero percent, that is, starting over? I haven't taken that chance. I ask because I'll be at level ten at 2 am and don't want to screw up on this final push!
No, you will NOT go back to 0%! It's a confusing message, but basically it means that if you have made any items for that order (therefore making "progress" on the order) you will lose that progress by asking for a new order. You will NOT lose the items that would help fulfill that order. I.E. if the order asks for two milk chocolate and you only have one milk chocolate, by asking for a new order you will NOT lose the one milk chocolate you have.

I too was disappointed in the Ferris wheel . It was the only prize I wanted. They made you think it was animated. The only time it moves is when you touch it. It was so sad when I placed the prize and it just sat there.
