Entire pages of thread deleted?

I'm relatively new here as a posting member, but have used the site as a resource about goals and gameplay for many months. I know many forums delete posts they find inappropriate, but there was a discussion about the difference in how the game has to be set up for the different devices and how this explains why there can be different offerings or timeframes for different operating systems. Someone who even programs apps was speaking of the difference. I log on now and see that the inflammatory comment which caused me to join the thread is still there (and still kind of offensive) but the entire rest of the thread is gone.

I don't want to knowingly violate any forum rules, but some excellent points were made to answer "Why isn't everything the same," which seems like a recurring problem... I don't understand why those posts were deleted but the angry, almost temper tantrum posts stay. Is it like "don't talk about code" or something else? Thanks

I think they pick and choose. I have noticed that as well.

Thread and posts will be removed or edited if they are in violation of the forum rules.

Discussing moderator actions like removing threads/posts is also a violation of the rules.
